About Our League
Charlotte Youth Lacrosse Association (CYLA) was founded in 1995 by R.B. Diffenderfer to provide
area youth the opportunity to learn and play one of the greatest sports on earth.  The non-profit
league is fully supported by volunteers dedicated to promoting the game with an emphasis on
having fun, learning lacrosse fundamentals and good sportsmanship  Our program is very
instructional and no prior experience is required.  CYLA has been a tremendous success and we
currently operate a competitive boy's league and girl's league for 9 - 12 year olds in the spring.
